O2 is not keen on unlocking iPhones of those whose contracts have ended

If you are a Google power user, you might be well aware of the Google Search Options that have been available on the Google website for quite some time now. The ‘Search Options’ that is displayed just above the search results area lets users filter results through various parameters like time or through the category like blogs, videos, etc.

Earlier this week, Google announced on their mobile blog that the Search Options are available on smartphones like iPhone as well.

iPhone users can now make use of the Google Search Options while using Google on their smartphone. Unlike the comprehensive options available on the website, the mobile search results only lets you filter results as ‘Forums’ or ‘Reviews’. You may also additionally filter these results based on specific time range.

The Google search options will come extremely handy if you are looking for specific information. For instance, if you are searching for user reviews on a particular product that you intend to search, the new feature helps you to weed away other pages that may clutter your screen and thus only see results that are completely relevant to what you are looking for.

Though this is only a minor addition to the Google offering, it might be extremely useful when you are using Google on the go – look out for reviews of a camcorder just as you come across the different models in the showroom.

You can checkout the Google Search Options by pointing your iPhone’s Safari browser to google.com and doing a mobile search.

As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments.
