While Nintendo had been testing the multiplayer gameplay of Mario Kart Tour in beta since December, it required one to have Gold Pass subscription. However, the final release of the feature will be available for all players, irrespective of whether they are Gold Pass subscribers or not. The subscription which costs $4.99/month will be required for “Gold Races” though. It will also unlock the fastest 200cc car in the game and allow one to race against the top tier players.
Released in September last year, Mario Kart Tour was downloaded over 10.1 million times on the first day of its launch. The game has been a runaway success for Nintendo and with the addition of multiplayer gaming, its popularity is going to increase only further. Do you play Mario Kart Tour on your iPhone?
