In its continuing quest to connect all of us to everything, and via their portal, Google has unleashed YouTube Capture into the wild giving us even faster and easier ways to record, edit, and post videos to YouTube.

The app is a quick and easy download from the App Store and set up is pretty painless. Just launch, sign in with your Google ID, allow access to your Camera Roll (both to save and have access to previous videos), connect up Facebook and Twitter (if you wish), and go.

The app even has a handy “turn to landscape for best results” icon if you’re holding your iPhone in portrait mode. It’s everything you’d expect from Google. They want you to record, touch up with built-in editing tools, and upload with as little friction as possible. I did find one bug straight away. Turning on the flash/light disabled recording (and I don’t think it’s intentional). An important quality note, the app records at a max 720p resolution (and I would assume that it would upload at the same if recorded in another app and uploaded through the app). So if you’re going for cinema, this might not be the app to pick.

You can also read more about the App on the official launch page from YouTube.
